Yarnin' Around

Welcome to my Yarnin' Around page! Here I will share my knit or crochet projects that I make and sell and some free tutorials of items that I create. Please do not copy, sell or offer these patterns as your own. Please share a link to my blog here for other's to find my free patterns, in doing so, I am able to offer more free patterns to everyone.

For most of my patterns I recommend using Caron's Simply Soft yarn (sold at Joann Fabric & Craft stores or Micheal's Crafts) or Yarn Bee Soft Secret yarn (sold at Hobby Lobby) because of the soft feel and beautiful sheen they have. They have a nice drape to them when your hat is complete and feel soft instead of scratchy like most standard inexpensive yarns. If you use another cheaper yarn unlike the ones I mentioned above, the hat may not come out the correct size or look & wear as nice. I also recommend gentle hand washing and air dry (no electric dryer).

Please feel free to leave a positive comment or question. Happy Crafting! Here is a link to my pattern shop:

  1. Hi, I purchased your Kitty Cocoon through Craftsy and I have a couple of questions. I am usually not a loose crocheter, but I am concerned about the gauge that using a P hook and double Caron Simply soft yarn is making into for the cocoon. Could you give me an idea of the size gauge I should have after 6 rows? Thank you

  2. I am so disappointed in your shop. I purchased a pattern and have questions. I have sent two emails to one of your addresses and one to another address and have had no response. I am going to let both Craftsy and Ravelry know how you conduct your business. I will never purchase a pattern from you again!
