How to knit or crochet Red Heart Sashay ruffle scarf
In response to many requests for more detailed information for the finished lengths of these ruffle scarves that I have tutorials for on Youtube.com…here is a closer look at these feminine ruffle scarves. If you have watched my tutorials on how to make these 3 scarves, than you will be familiar with each of the 3 different styles to make. In the first photo, is 3 different versions of the ruffle scarves that I made. The black and white scarf farthest to the left is the “real” crochet version in which I used 5 stitches and measures 53 inches long. The second version in the middle (red) is the “no-crochet-crochet” version and I used 10 stitches, and it measures 100 inches long. The last version on the right, in the earth tones, is the knit version, with 6 stitches, and it measures 65 inches long. Each scarf used a full skein of the yarn/mesh fabric.
As you can see, the one on the far left (crochet) and the far right (knit) versions are much fluffier. Even though I used 10 stitches on the red one, it is not nearly as fluffy as the other 2.
Let's take a closer look at them individually, #1 is the real crochet version, #2 is the no-crochet crochet version and #3 is the knit version.
I draped them in this manner, so you can see how the first and last ones ruffle all around even when they are draped in this manner, and the red one, which is the “no-crochet-crochet” version, does not. You can see the row of stitches at the top of the “drape” and the ruffles fall in one direction..which is one reason, it is not nearly as fluffy as the “real” crochet one, and the knit one.
